PUZO - Mr. Eric Georges Puzo, 57, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, June 23, 2016 after a very lengthy illness. Eric was born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti and was raised both in Brooklyn and in Queens, New York. While attending State University of New York at Buffalo (UB), he pledged Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc., (Phi Epsilon chapter). He also met and married the love of his life, Ms. Salena Renee Mullins (a long-time award-winning radio pioneer). Their union resulted in 36 years of marriage and the births of two incredible children, Nathan and Nicholas.

After university, Eric dove into his Psychology minor, rehabilitating prison inmates for workforce preparation, and assisting drug and alcohol addicts in maintaining their sobriety. Upon relocating to Florida, he jumped head-first into his college major, Computers and Aerospace Engineering, where he spent nearly thirty (30) years with GE Avionics (formerly Bendix & Unison Industries). He was also employed at Florida Technical College as a/an part-time/full-time adjunct instructor, teaching rocket science.

Eric had a very strong, unwavering faith and love of God, and was a member of Nesbitt Cathedral - The Heart of Jacksonville Institutional Church, under the leadership of the late Bishop Ronnie A. Nesbitt, Sr. and Bishop Milessa Nesbitt. Eric was preceded in death by his oldest son, Nathaniel Donald Eric (Puzo?), his mother, Fernande Dugue-Puzo, his father, Georges Puzo, 4 brothers: Ronald (Yanick), Wesley, Philip (Gina) and Georges (Paula) and 1 sister: Florence Puzo. Eric is survived by his wife, Salena Renee, youngest son, Nicholas (Jacksonville, FL); Two sisters: Mireille Puzo-Eugene (Roger), Carolle Lassegue (Frantz) and one brother, Farid Puzo (Loneze); In-laws: Donald Mullins Jr. (Crystal), Daryl Mullins, Jerri Mullins, Donna Mullins-Prince (George); one aunt: Marie Dugue; and two uncles-in-law: Henry (Gwen) & Marshall (TerLesa) Crumpton. He also leaves to cherish his memory a host of nieces, nephews and cousins, including: Brian (Courtney) & Autumn Mullins, Natalie Mullins, Noelle Mullins, Miles Prince, Farrah Prince, Dimitry Laforest, Tashanah Laforest, Gerald Laforest, Dominique Puzo, George Jr., Gary Bender, Greg Bender, and Giselle Bender, Shaila Puzo, Juliano Puzo, Nabila Puzo, Leslie & Georgy Puzo, Georgia Puzo, Patrick Puzo, Ronald Puzo, Robert Lassegue, Frantz Lassegue & Tamara Lassegue; the brothers of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc, and many more family, and gigantic heaps of friends.
