Obituary For Mrs. Maesalena Mullins

MULLINS - Mrs. Maesalena Mullins, entered into eternal rest on December 21, 2013, after a lengthy illness. She was born in Alabama and graduated high school from the well-regarded Snow Hill Institute in Snow Hill, Alabama. She accepted Christ at an early age and was a member of the Little Zion Methodist Church in Furman, Alabama. After graduation, she attended Alabama State University before a routine trip to visit family in Buffalo, NY resulted in a permanent relocation. She soon met and married the love of her life, her husband, Mullins, Sr. (Longtime general manager of WUFO radio in Buffalo), They were married blissful years until he preceded her in death in 2003. She was also preceded in death grandson, Nathaniel Puzo and 3 brothers, Nathaniel Crumpton, McArthur Crumpton a Crumpton.

As Maesalena's love of school never faded, she later continued her education by attending graduate from Buffalo State College and the State University of New York at Buffalo, ultimately earning two Masters- Degrees. After graduation, she taught at South Park and Kensington High Schools and served as a guidance counselor at the Buffalo City Honors School. The Mullins' relocated to Jacksonville, Fl. In 1982.

She is survived by sons, Donald Mullins, Jr (Crystal) of S. Orange, NJ, and Daryl Mullins (Atlanta, Ga. Also, 3 daughters, Salena Renee Puzo (Eric) of Orange Park, FL; Jerri Mullins Donna Prince (George) both of Jacksonville, Fl. Mrs. Mullins has 7 surviving grandchild Mullins (Courtney), Nicholas Puzo, Autumn Mullins, Natalie Mullins, Miles Prince, Farr and Node Mullins and great grandson, Brian Donald Conner Mullins. She is also survived brothers: Johnny Crumpton, McKinsley Crumpton (Ann), Henry Crumpton (Gwen) and Crumpton (Terlesa); and 2 sisters: Georgia Bender and Patricia Ruffin (Tyrone); 2 aunts: Morgan of Detroit, MI., and Nellie Dinkins of Akron. Oh, several nieces and nephews, a of cousins and friends who will miss her dearly. Mrs. Mullins had an unwavering faith and love of God. She was a devoted and active r of Mt. Sinai Missionary Baptist Church, R.L. Gundy, Pastor.

Mrs. Mullins' gentle spirit and love of others will be missed. At her request, there will be no funeral or viewing. The family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations be made in her name American Cancer Society. https:donate.cancer.org/index.
